The Grassroots Journal was founded by Borderless World Volunteers. It immerses its readers in the complexities of development studies, as seen through the lens of undergraduates in the field. As an open access journal, it provides an interdisciplinary forum for research and reflection on global development issues, as well as on recent innovations in development policy and practice. Grassroots publishes student academic articles, informative pieces on innovations in the field of development, and analytical pieces on development issues, controversies, and policy debates.
Grassroots publishes outstanding academic essays on international development affairs by undergraduate students. We are currently accepting submissions for our Spring 2014 issue.
All submissions will be reviewed and evaluated by the editorial board and chosen based on their relevance, quality of the research, originality of the topic, quality of the writing, and the ability of the paper to incorporate concrete examples and study cases to development theory. Please note that Grassroots does not accept papers that were previously published by another journal.
Students interested in submitting their work for publication should email the journal at borderlessjournal@gmail.com, attaching a word document with their work and adding a brief abstract (maximum 200 words) on the paper. If you have any inquiries regarding the criteria of selection, as well as the process of publication of your manuscript, do not hesitate to e-mail the journal with a short summary of the piece.
